This policy explains what happens to your data when you use PhotoToStainedGlass (the "Service"), a tool that turns a photo of a stained-glass piece into a clean cutting template.
When you click "Generate template," your photo is sent to Google's Gemini API, which returns the redrawn template. The photo and the generated image pass through our server in memory for that single request and are not saved afterward — we do not keep a copy, and we don't use your photos to train any model ourselves.
Generating a template requires signing in with Google. We don't receive your Google password and we don't access your Gmail, contacts or files — only your basic profile (name, email address, account ID). Signed-in accounts get a set number of free templates each month; we store a small counter per account and month so we can enforce that limit.
When you sign in, we set one essential cookie (ptsg_session) that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days; it's removed when you sign out. Your language choice, and — if you're on Pro — a short-lived access token for clean downloads, are kept in your browser's local storage and are never used for tracking. This site may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites; where required (for example, for visitors in the EEA/UK), Google's own consent tools apply. You can review or adjust how Google personalizes ads at adssettings.google.com, and read Google's policies at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages get used. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other sites, and does not store personal information — it records aggregate page-view counts only.
If you subscribe to Pro, payment is processed by our payment provider, Polar (polar.sh), which acts as the merchant of record. We pass your email address and account ID to Polar so the subscription is linked to your account. We never see or store your card details; we only receive confirmation that the payment went through.
Google (Gemini API for image processing; Google Sign-In for accounts; AdSense for advertising, once enabled), Vercel (our hosting provider, which also provides the cookieless analytics above), Upstash (the database that stores monthly usage counters) and, when you make a purchase, Polar. We don't sell your data or share it with anyone else.
Uploaded photos and generated templates are not stored beyond the single request that produces them. Rate-limit counters are kept in server memory only and clear automatically. Monthly usage counters are deleted automatically after about 40 days. Your sign-in details are kept only inside the session cookie on your device. To have any data linked to your account deleted, email us and we'll remove it.
Since we don't retain your photos, there's generally nothing to delete on our end after your session — but if you have questions about this policy or believe we hold information about you, contact us (see below) and we'll look into it.
This Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
We may update this policy as the Service changes (for example, once advertising or new features go live). Check this page occasionally for the latest version.
