PhotoToStainedGlass started from a repeating request at a stained-glass workshop: a customer sends a photo of a mirror frame, panel, or lamp they like, and asks for a cutting template built from it. Doing that by hand — tracing out the lead lines, stripping away the wall, reflections, and shadows, then squaring up a photo that was shot at an angle — takes real time for something that should be quick.
This tool automates that first pass. Upload a photo and it's redrawn as a clean, linear template using AI image generation, with the perspective distortion corrected and the original proportions preserved. From there you can add real measurements and, optionally, preview the template against a photo of the actual window it's destined for.
It's built in Istanbul, Türkiye, drawing on hands-on experience with stained-glass and glass-art commission work. The goal is a tool any hobbyist or professional glass studio can use directly, the same way people use a tool like iLovePDF — no account, no learning curve.
Right now the window-fit step (Step 3) works in "scale mode," centering the template in a rectangle you mark. Support for arched and irregular window openings (contour mode) is on the roadmap.

PhotoToStainedGlass, bir vitray atölyesinde sürekli karşılaşılan bir talepten doğdu: müşteri beğendiği bir ayna çerçevesinin, panelin ya da lambanın fotoğrafını gönderiyor ve ondan bir kesim şablonu çıkarılmasını istiyor. Bunu elle yapmak — kurşun hatlarını çizmek, duvarı, yansımayı, gölgeyi ayıklamak, açılı çekilmiş bir fotoğrafı orantılı hale getirmek — aslında hızlı olması gereken bir iş için gerçek zaman alıyor.
Bu araç, o ilk adımı otomatikleştiriyor. Bir fotoğraf yüklüyorsun, yapay zeka görsel üretimiyle temiz, çizgisel bir şablona dönüştürülüyor; perspektif bozulması düzeltiliyor ve orijinal oranlar korunuyor. Buradan gerçek ölçüler ekleyebilir, istersen şablonu gerçek pencerenin fotoğrafıyla önizleyebilirsin.
İstanbul, Türkiye'de, vitray ve cam sanatı işleriyle edinilen doğrudan deneyimden yola çıkılarak geliştiriliyor.
